Karon Shaiva is a social sector practitioner, writer, speaker and trainer. Karon firmly believes in the power of Citizenship, Entrepreneurship and Partnership to address some of the world’s most pressing issues. She has been deeply involved in the women empowerment, community development and social entrepreneurship space first as a volunteer and then as Founder of Idobro Impact Solutions and Trustee of RISE Infinity Foundation. IDOBRO & RISE Infinity Foundation’s mission is poverty alleviation and eco-system restoration across the spectrum of women, social and green issues. During the pandemic, over half a million people in distress as well as frontline workers were reached from the most vulnerable groups. Karon has over 20 years of experience in Asia and the USA in technology, education, finance, gemology and development sectors.In addition to holding a Masters in Marketing Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, she is a Chevening Fellow from Oxford University and an alumni of the Swedish Institute Management Program in CSR & Sustainability. She is also a certified ISO 9001:2000 Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt and was visiting Faculty at NMIMS, Mumbai. Karon truly believes that learning should never stop and is currently a student of Human Rights and Peace.She was awarded the “Most Inspiring Social enterprise plan” at the hands of the late Dr. C. K. Prahlad and was selected as part of the top 30 of 20000 applicants for the Lufthansa – Pioneers of Tomorrow TV series. She has been selected as COVID Shereos by Twitter India and recognised for her work during the pandemic by multiple organisations. Karon truly believes that learning should never stop and is currently a student of Human Rights and Peace.
